What is therapy?
Massage (Therapy) is a general term used for pressing, rubbing and manipulating your skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Massage therapists typically use their hands and fingers for massage, but may also use their forearms, elbows and even their feet to massage and may range from light stroking to deep pressure.
There are many different types of massage including these common types that are performed at Golden Hands –
· Balinese massage
A combination of gentle stretches acupressure, reflexology, and aromatherapy to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and "qi" (energy) around your body, and bring a sense of well-being, calm and deep relaxation.
· Swedish massage
The best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of Swedish massage techniques is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. However, Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation.
· Deep tissue massage
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to that of the Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia.
· Shirodhara Massage
Shirodhara is a form of Ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead. The name comes from the Sanskrit words shiro (head) and dhara (flow).
· Thermo Body Massage
Red rice or a mix of leaves is cooked in a fusion of milk and herbs which is then filled into a gauze-bag. With this bag special warm/hot oil is patted into the skin.
· Normal Full Body Massage
· Back Massage (with Back Pain Reliever)
· Head, Neck, shoulder Massage
· Head Massage
· Foot Massage
· Face Massage
